Thebo removed as Karachi police chief, appointed Chairman Anti-Corruption
KARACHI, Jul 17: Mushtaq Mehar on Friday has replaced Ghulam Haider Thebo as Additional Inspector General (IG) Karachi.
Thebo has been appointed as Chairman Anti-Corruption.
Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Director General (DG) Manzoor Qadir Kaka has also been relieved from his post.
Moreover, SBCA senior official Shahzar Shamon and Administrator Saqib Soomro have also been relieved as both have fled the country. As many as nine deputy commissioners (DC) have been removed from their posts. Administrator Hyderabad, Khalid Sheikh has been removed from the post. Hafeezuddin Umrani will perform his duties as Administrator Hyderabad from now onwards.
Details have it that Sindh Police has complied a list of corrupt names in the department. Zulfiqar Larak has replaced Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Special Branch Naeem Akram.
