Peshawar, some other districts of KP celebrating Eidul Fitr

PESHAWAR, Jul 17: The descent over the sighting of Eid moon continued to haunt Pakistan as Eidul Fitr is being celebrated in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday while the rest of the country will likely to celebrate Eid on today (Saturday).

Eidul Fitr being celebrated in Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera and Bannu districts of KP on Friday after local moon sighting committee announced sighting of moon at various places in the province.

Two large congregations of Eid prayers in Peshawar were held at Eidgah and Bagh-e-Naran. Awami National Party leaders Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, Haji Adeel and other notables offered Eid prayers in Peshawar.

Eid celebrations in some other districts of KP

Eidul Fitr also being celebrated in Chaman on Friday, the border city of Balochistan adjoining Afghanistan, after the local moon sighting committee announced sighting of moon in the area.

The members of Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat also celeberating Eid today. The largest congregation of Eid was held at Tahiri Masjid at Karachi’s Saddar area. Large number of the people of Bohra community attended the prayers.
