Korean companies keen to establish special economic zone in Pakistan

MOS/CHAIRMAN, BOARD OF INVESTMENT, DR. MIFTAH ISMAIL IN A MEETING WITH DR. SONG JONGHWAN, AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA IN ISLAMABAD ON JULY 23, 2015

ISLAMABAD, Jul 23: Ambassador of Korea in Pakistan Dr Dong Jonghwan said that Korean companies are interested to establish a Pakistan–Korean special economic zone in Agriculture farming and complete food processing in Punjab – Pakistan.

Dr Jonghwan has visited Board of Investment and met with Minister of State Dr Miftah Ismail to discuss and explore the key areas of investment opportunities. Secretary Iftikhar Babar and BOI Executive Director General, Saleem Ahmed attended the meeting.

Minister of State Dr Ismail highlighted the investment potential and opportunities available for Korean investors in Pakistan..

The Secretary, BOI informed Korean companies of the potential areas in Pakistan for investment.
