KARACHI, Jul 24: Slackness of authorities has increased problems of locals post monsoon shower as stagnant water in Sabzi Mandi has spoiled vegetables.
Undrained water in the area has led customers to flee the market while drivers are also avoiding putting cars through the area.
The traders had bought vegetables and other green eatables in huge amounts after Eid holidays. However, there are hardly any customers in the market after rain signified authorities’ slackness. The administration came in action after.
Two underpasses near airport are flooded and are closed for all kinds of traffic. The locals are facing problems as they have to take a longer route to reach Shahra-e-Faisal. People in different areas are complaining that sewage has mixed with monsoon water and the drainage system is down.
The prices in the market have also risen after the monsoon downpour.
Separately, as many as eight people have lost their lives in different electrocution related accidents after the rain. Numerous areas had lost power supply however, some lines have been restored.
