JI chief demands govt to help flood victims, not to celebrate JC verdict

LAHORE, Jul 26: Jamat-e-Isalmi Amir Sirajul Haq on Sunday said judicial commission’s report on election rigging was neither a matter of triumph nor a defeat for any party.
Speaking at a ceremony held in connection with the death anniversary of former JI Amir Mian Muhammad Tufail, Mr Haq said few people have held politics, economy and democracy hostage in Pakistan.
Commenting on judicial commission verdict, he stressed the need for calling an all parties conference (APC) for electoral reforms.
JI chief demanded the government not to celebrate judicial commission verdict but to come out for help of flood victims across the country.
He also demanded right of vote for overseas Pakistanis.
