ISLAMABAD, Aug 2: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar directed the Economic Affairs Division (EAD) for expediting work on its China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) related projects Sunday.
The minister chaired a meeting to review the important economic projects under the aegis of EAD. Secretary EAD, Saleem Sethi gave a detail update about financing arrangements of rehabilitation of TDPs, said a statement.
The minister on this occasion referred to recent agreement signed with China on award of special grant of US$ 10 million, supporting Pakistan Government in rehabilitation of resident in FATA and promoting social development in the area.
Ishaq Dar also emphasized proper utilization of these of these funds and said that the government was deeply focused on resettlement of TDPs. He said that all possible efforts needed to be made in this regard.
The minister also sought details about projects and programmes that EAD envisaged to be implemented in FATA with the assistance of Chinese government.
Additional Secretary, Finance and other senior officials of the Ministry of Finance and EAD attended the meeting.
