JAMSHORO, Aug 3: The Director General National Vocational Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) Punjab Javed Nisar Syed visited Centre of Excellence in Arts and Design (CEAD) Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) Jamshoro and held talks about the field of art with Direcor CEAD, Prof. Dr. Bhai Khan Shar in his office. Javed Nisar Syed accompanied by NAVTTC officer Azizullah Chandio said that CEAD is an art institute based on the structure of National College of Art Lahore and is promoting the art education in Sindh in real sense. He said that Art received glorious development in the Mughal era and if we peep in the history we find that civilizations have merged in one another with the passage of time or they have barrowed some good things from well developed societies of the time. Javed Nisar Syed said that we should learn from the developed nations of the world to encourage our youth as they may prove their abilities in respective fields. He further said that besides other fields our youth should also pay attention towards business sector as they may alternative despite relying on government jobs only and to become a successful businessman one has to work like a labour rather adopting the landlord’s status. Director CEAD, Prof. Dr. Bhai Khan Shar said that we must be happy on the success of our people and consider it as our own success collectively. He said that Sindh is full of talent in the fields of textile and ceramics and we are trying our best to strengthen our students with new trends and latest developments in such fields as our cultural handicrafts and designs may be produced with the requirements of modern era markets. Dr. Bhai Khan Shar said that our students have developed more than 600 organic colours from local plants which is their extraordinary achievement. CEAD faculty members Fazal Illahi Khan, Shaukat Khokhar, Nizam Dahiri, Muneer Baledai, Asif Shar and others were also present in the talks. D.G NAVTTC Punjab Javed Nisar Syed also visited different departments and distributed the cheques of stipend amongst trainees and appreciated their abilities. In the end Prof. Dr. Bhai Khan shar graced the guests with traditional gift of Ajrak.
