First Hajj flight leaves for Saudi Arabia

KARACHI, Aug 16: The first Hajj flight with 150 pilgrims left Karachi for Saudi Arabia on Sunday morning.
In all, 143,368 persons would perform Hajj from Pakistan this year, half of them under government scheme and the remaining through private hajj organisers.
The 1st Hajj flight, carrying intending pilgrims, will leave for Saudi Arabia from Multan International Airport on August 21.
Director Hajj Multan Rehan Khan said a total of 8100 intending pilgrims would fly from Multan.
He said as many as 5000 pilgrims will leave for Saudi Arabia under government scheme while 3100 pilgrims under private Hajj operators.
Pre-Hajj operation will continue till 16th of next month.
