President for enhanced ties with Egypt

ISLAMABAD, Aug 25: President Mamnoon Hussain says Pakistan considers Egypt a significant stakeholder in the region as well as in the Islamic world. He was talking to outgoing ambassador of Egypt Said Hindam here on Tuesday. The President called for greater people-to-people contacts and exchange of cultural and business delegations between the two countries to further expand bilateral relations. He appreciated the role of outgoing ambassador as Dean of the African Heads of Mission in promoting Pakistan’s relations with African countries. Said Hindam said that Egypt and Pakistan share identical views on major issues and cooperate with each other at the UN, OIC, D-8 and other international fora. The ambassador said that Egypt has always stood by Pakistan including on the Kashmir issue. Meanwhile, renowned industrialist Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh and prominent religious scholar Maulana Rehmatullah also called on President Mamnoon Hussain here on Tuesday. The two dignitaries apprised the President about problems of their district. The President assured them that solution of public issues is priority of the government and the problems of Chiniot would be resolved on priority basis. Talking to another delegation led by Chairman Pakistan National Heart Association, retired Maj. Gen Masud-ur-Rehman Kiani here on Tuesday, the President underscored the need for improvement in the quality and standards of health services related to heart diseases.
