QUETTA, Sep 1: Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday has said that two murderers involved in killings of three people including journalist Arshad Mastoi have been arrested. The Home Minister gave the news in a press conference in provincial capital. He said that the culprits belong to a banned outfit and also wished to kill Senator Hafiz Hamdullah and campaigner for recovery of missing persons, Mama Qadeer. In 2014, a firing incident in Kabeer building had claimed three lives among the journalist’s. He said that Shafqat alias Naveed and Ibrahim alias Shah Gi were apprehended by intelligence agencies and police in a joint operation in Quetta. Bugti said that the arrested criminals have confessed that the banned organization also murdered Balochistan National Party-Mengal’s (BNP) leader advocate Habib Jalib. The media personnel were showed confessional video of the culprits. The minister vowed to arrest mastermind behind the three killings, Sohail Murree very soon. It should also be mentioned here that Mastoi was the bureau chief of a news agency and general secretary of Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ).
