Rangers sent 8 to jail for hampering polling process in Karachi

Karachi, Dec.06: Excercising their magisterial powers delegated by the Election Commission, Pakistan Rangers Sindh have awarded jail sentences to eight workers of different political groups for hampering Local Bodies polling process in Karachi.

The Rangers had been given magisterial powers by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Talking to newsmen in Rawalpindi.Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan Babar Yaqoob has appreciated the role of Rangers in ensuring peaceful conduct of polling in the third phase of local bodies elections in Sindh.
