SNT demands to defer census until expulsion of illegal immigrants

HYDERABAD, Mar 13: Sindh National Tehrik has demanded to postpone census process until all illegal immigrants are expelled from Sindh adding that in their presence census could never serve interests of Sindh.

Sindh was passing through critical period. In such situation Sindhis shall have to get united. This was stated by chairman of SNT Ashraf Noonari while addressing a gathering arranged by his party on occasion of his 39thbirthday celebrations. He said he has worked for cause of Sindh whole life and if needed he can sacrifice his life for this cause. On this occasions a big number of his party workers, political and social workers, journalists, lawyers, writers and poets were present. He said census was matter of life and death for Sindhis but deplored that there was little or no preparations on part of Sindh government and political parties. He said at present there were more than 9.7 million illegal immigrants including including 2.5 million Afghanis who all were holding national identity cards. This situation was conspiracy against Sindhis which cannot be accepted. He asked Sindh government must ask federal authorities to postpone census otherwise Sindhis could turn into minority. Talking about CPEC Noonari said government should call APC on it to told Sindhis about benefits they can get from the project. SNT leaders sr. vice president Lala Qurban Sodhro said tour of prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his address at Thatta was slap on face of Sindh government which despite in power for 9 long years has done nothing for Sindh. He said PPP was No.1 in corruption and loot while its role for development in province was big zero. Gathering was also addressed by vice president Mir Allahdad Talpur, general secretary Najeeb Thebo, Nari Tehrik chief Dr.Uzma Jokhyo, Dr. Abida Siddiqui, Labour Tehrik head Jhangi Mallah, Student wing president Anil Kumar Odd also spoke on the occasion.
