MUMBAI, Mar 22: The ‘Bhai of Bollywood’ Salman Khan topped the list of top 10 Bollywood celebrity advance tax-payers list for the financial year 2016-2017.
A foreign news agency reported that the Dangal star topped the list after paying INR. 44.5 crores.
Actor Akshay Kumar was placed second in the list as the Rustom star paid INR. 29.5 crores advance tax.
Hrithik Roshan — paying INR 25.5 crores — was third on the list while comedian Kapil Sharma was fourth, having paid INR 23.9 crores advance tax.
Rocket Singh star Ranbir Kapoor was at fifth spot, having paid an advance tax of 16.5 crores while “Mr. Perfectionist” Aamir Khan was at sixth spot in the list after paying advance tax of INR 14.8 crores.
Director Karan Johar stood at seventh spot in the list after paying advance tax of INR 11.7 crores.
Deepika Padukone, who recently starred in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, paid INR 10.25 and was placed at eighth place in the rankings.
Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor — having paid INR 4.33 and INR 3.9 crores advance tax respectively — stood at ninth and tenth place in the ranking.
