JUI-F holds centenary celebrations with over 50,000 people in Nowshera


NOWSHERA, Apr 7: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) is holding centenary celebrations with biggest public gathering in Azakhel, area of Nowshera today (Friday).

According to details, stage and chairs were arranged to serve more than 50,000 people.

Party sources told that Friday prayers would be offered under the supervision of Imam-i-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh Bin Mohammad Bin Ibrahim who along with Saudi religious affairs minister Sheikh Saleh bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh has arrived in Nowshera.

Delegations from India and Bangladesh have already reached the venue.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is also expected to attend the first day of the ceremony whereas Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has also confirmed his participation.

On the other hand, Security has been beefed as 25,000-strong volunteer security force has been formed while 6,000 people in plainclothes have also been deployed at the venue.
