Resolution passed against SSGC, Food Department and Health Department for their poor performance

SHIKARPUR, Apr 28: Agha Masihuddin Khan Durrani the District Chairman Shikarpur, lamented over the poor performance of Health Department Shikarpur, Food Department and SSGC officials and passed resolution against them during the district council meeting held at Deputy Commissioner Office Shikarpur, here.

Agha lamented and said that doctors are not ready to perform their duties with honesty despite of taking responsible salary and RHCs, BHUs and other Health centers are being run by dispensers and doctors are seen to run their private clinics therefore poor patients are on the mercy of dispensers; medicines are not available at hospitals across Shikarpur while substandard medicines were being sold out at private medical stores in Shikarpur, it is regrettable act.
Agha directed to District Health Officer [DHO] Health Shikarpur Kazi Khurshed to provide all necessary information regarding doctors and paramedical staff, read handout issued by Information Department Shikarpur, here on Friday.
Abdul Salam Unar, council member, said that the poor performance of the Civil Hospital Shikarpur is not hidden from everyone, in this regard the CM Special Team, Circle Officer Anti Corruption Shikarpur, District and Sessions Judge Shikarpur and Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur paid surprise visits and issued strict instructions to improve the condition of the hospital, but no any measures seen at hospital adding Sindh government set up a Trauma centre in Lakhi Ghulam Shah Hospital to facilitate to poor patients after utilizing worth of millions of rupees, but concerned authorities have failed to install an electric transformer there due to poor performance and negligence of concerned authorities hence Trauma centre has been closed since his installation.
Altaf Junejo, Syed Nadir Shah, Safdar Hussain Jatoi, and others complained that doctors are not posted in Madeji, Chak, Haji Khan Kalhoro, Dakhan, Mirzapur, Amrote Sharif, Shabirabad, and Dongblock areas of Shikarpur district, they said.
Dr Kazi Khurshed, the DHO Shikarpur said that 64 health centers are working in Shikarpur out of which 26 are under PPHI, 06 are under RHC adding health department in Shikarpur is facing shortage of doctors in this regard we have written a letter to authorities concerned while medicine are available at every RHC and BHU center, DHO added.
