Father decries arrest of son: B section police demanding bribe

HYDERABAD: Maqsood Ahmed resident of Gaushala Hyderabad has alleged that B section police of Latifabad has arrested his son Mahmood Ahmed on charges of purchasing stolen cell mobile and was demanding Rs.150,000 from his for his release.

Addressing news conference here, Maqsood told that his son was engaged in a business of sale and purchase of mobile sets at mobile market Saddar. Few days back he had purchased a mobile set. B section police arrested his son in dead night. When they approached police it denied having arrested his son. He told that police told him to pay Rs.150,000 as bribe or appease one Waheed whom police calls as journalist. When journalists present at press conference told him that there was no journalist in name of Waheed. However he asked SSP and DIG to help him release his son detailed illegally by B section police for bribe.
