SHIKARPUR: The journalists of Sindh especially interior Sindh were being faced dire consequences, severe hardships and being victimized by their rivals despite that they were discharging their duties with full spirit and without any fear, in this regard keeping an eye over the difficulties being faced by the Journalists of the region, Larkana Union of Journalists [LUJ] announced to organize a union for journalists for welfare of the journalists in order to reduce victimization and their troubles in the region.
This was said by LUJ leader Sarkash Sahayo during a journalists’ gathering held at Shikarpur Press Club to form a district level body of the journalists.
He announced Rahmatullah Soomro, Sultan Rind, Iqbal Sajjad, Ayub Brohi, Aslam Soomro, Agha Babar, Muhammad Parial Marri, Waheed Phulpoto, Hidaytullah Mahar, Farhan Abro, Javeed Rajojo as a Patron, President, Senior Vice President, Vice President, General Secretary, Deputy General Secretary, Joint General Secretary, Information Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor and Office Secretary.
Also, Rahim Bakhsh Jamali, Abdul Razzaque Brohi, Hazar Khan Chandio, Rasheed Shah, Zulfikar Magsi, Sarang Bapar, Siddique-i-Akbar Arain and Amjad Ali Arain were selected as members of Executive Committee.
On the occasion, newly elected office bearers including Sultan Rind, Rahim Bakhsh Jamali and Waheed Phulpoto vowed that they would take their level best to resolve the outstanding problem of the journalists, accordingly.
A lot of journalists of Lakhi Ghulam Shah, Khanpur, Garhi Yasin, Dakhan, Madeji and other towns of the Shikarpur district were attended the gathering and ensured their full cooperation to newly elected body and expressed their full confidence over newly elected body for larger interests of the journalists and hoped that the newly elected body would prove itself.
