MNA Ayesha Gulalai parts ways with PTI; likely to join PML-N

PESHAWAR: MNA Ayesha Gulalai Wazir on Tuesday suddenly announced that she is quitting the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). While, PML-N leader Ameer Muqam contacted her and offered to join Muslim League.

Speaking on the issue, she said the party does not respect women.

Ayesha Gulalai had joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in 2012 and was nominated as a member of the PTI central committee.

She was indirectly elected as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan for first time on PTI ticket on a reserved seat for women from the FATA in Pakistani general election, 2013.

Earlier on July 16, PTI’s Naz Baloch announced her joining of the PPP, alleging that the PTI s focus is centred on Punjab and not Sindh.

Baloch alleged that the PTI has been unable to deliver on its promise of representing the youth and its leadership is also sidelining the female members.
