LG Captures Commercial Display Market with LED

AMSTERDAM, Feb 21: LG Electronics participated in ISE (Integrated Systems Europe) 2012, the biggest

commercial display show in Europe, held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, for three

days from January 31. During the show, LGE introduced its new commercial LED

display devices to enhance its B2B marketing.

The company displayed this year’s strategic products, which include digital signage,

hotel TV systems and video conference systems. In the 598sqm display space, an

LED promotion zone was set up to advertise the unique advantages of LGE’s LED

products with the aim of securing a strong leadership position in the commercial LED

display market.

LGE also unveiled its 165-inch LED multi-vision panel, whose bevel, i.e., the

thickness of the gap between individual screens, is just 5.3mm, the thinnest in

the world. Although the screen is composed of nine 55-ich LED displays, the huge

screen delivers a perfect viewing effect and visual cohesion, giving viewers the

impression they are looking at just one large screen.

LGE also set up a comparison zone where visitors to the event could easily confirm

the energy and cost-saving effects of LGE products equipped with Smart Energy

Saving technology, which reduces energy consumption by up to 30% compared to

traditional LED products.

In the specially arranged display zone, LGE presented some sample uses of the

products in diverse spaces including hotel lobbies, hotel guest rooms, automobile

dealerships and gas stations to enable customers to verify the characteristics and

advantages of each product more easily.

Ki-moon Baek, Senior Vice President of Commercial Marketing said, “LGE will

consolidate its leading position in the global display market  with a diverse lineup

of commercial displays equipped with the latest LED technology.

ISE (Integrated Systems Europe), the largest European commercial display trade

show, is attended by over 40,000 visitors eager to see the latest products of the

more than 700 participating companies.
