Low intensity blast in Peshawar; no causalities
PESHAWAR, Feb 21: A blast took place in a market area at Peshawar’s locality, with no causalities reported, officials said on Tuesday.
Police said that the explosive was planted in a motorcycle, adding that security forces rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.
A homemade bomb went off in Matni Bazar of the city, Police said, adding that no one was injured or killed in the incident.
Bomb disposal squad said the explosive device was fixed in a motorbike parked in the market which had often been targeted by militants loyal to Taliban and Al Qaeda.
