Provincial Monitoring Team of the Governor’s House visited University of Karachi

KARACHI:  “Chancellor and Governor Sindh – Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan will visit the University of Karachi very soon. In addition, the quality of new and under construction buildings of the University is satisfactory. However, timely funding can bring improvement in delay in completion of these projects,” these views were expressed by the members of the Governor’s Provincial Monitoring Unit during their visit to the University of Karachi here on Tuesday. Vice Chancellor, KU, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qaiser expressed that such visits will help in improving the quality of public sector universities of Sindh. As per directive of the Vice Chancellor, a detailed report of completed and on-going projects of the University was presented. Campus Security Advisor, Prof. Dr. Khalid Iraqi presented the complete security plan that will soon be implemented within the campus. He informed that more than 50 cameras will be placed at different locations within the campus, the number also includes doom cameras outside the University gates. Besides, walk through gates other security gadgets will also be installed to ensure fool proof security in all respects. The plan was highly appreciated by the Governor House delegation. Moreover, a general presentation containing University’s academic facts was also given by the Public Relations Officer. Later, the monitoring team visited the new administrative building, newly constructed office of the Dean faculty of Management and Administrative Sciences and Department of Public Administration. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Abuzar Wajidi, Prof. Dr. Sohail Barkati, Prof. Dr. M. Nassiruddin Khan, Prof. Sajdeen and all project directors were also present.
